09/23 Game Results: Brauhaus chugs BV 4 - 2

Published by bgraff at 5:52 am under Latest Scores, Results

Could this be the rise of the Beer boys? Last night’s game saw Brauhaus defeat BV 4 - 2. Game report from BV captain Stephanie Singer:

“We lost 4-2. We dominated the 1st half. They had a few chances off free kicks and capitalized. Close match until the end. Thx to mike geller for volunteering to ref. Alex, reggie and 2 other scored for them. I think both tonys scored for us”

Hopefully more details will come, particularly about goal scorers and such.

The Beer boys look mighty thirsty now. Prost!

It took me by surprise that Ricky didn’t retaliate to Stephanie right hook but I knew that it was not the last of it. Sources reported that Ricky, while reffing BVFC Vs Race st. allowed a goal that didn’t even crossed the line. The game ended in a draw.

Looks like Ricky was at it again last night, Mike Geller called on Ricky who happens to be hanging out at Palumbo, even though he was not playing, to clarify a dubious call for a penalty. Ricky indicated it was not a PK but a free kick. Had a PK been given and scored, BVFC would have been on top. Could it have affected the outcome of the game…maybe. BVFC lost to Brauhaus 4-2.

It is not the first time that Ricky has done such thing. Last season he used a player from the BVFC league to play in his KOP team. Player got hurt and was out for the season. It so happens that this player was also on Stephanie’s team.

The board needs to take action against the character.

As one of the co-captains for Bella Vista and having been present at both games, I feel it important to mention that I had no problem with Ricky’s calls on Saturday or Tuesday. The refs are voluntary and do the best they can to make good calls. Did the ball go over the line against Race Street? Hard to say since the field was basically not lined properly, but it could have gone either way and I respect Rick’s decision. As for seeking clarification on whether there was a penalty last night, yes, the foul was committed in the box. However, the box is out of proportion for the small field that is Palumbo (the 18 is half-way to midfield!) and the current box is much larger than what it has traditionally been on this pitch. I personally told Ricky that I agreed with his assessment the moment he made the call.

Folks, we come to play and have fun. Everyone would prefer to win, but it does not benefit any of us to start accusing the ref’s of bias. I thank Ricky and all the others that volunteer their time to help make the league more manageable.

Congratulations to Brauhaus on a good game. We’ll be better prepared for you next time!

    Cheers! Q.

New report just obtained from our inside guy,

James convinced Glenn to sign up, thinking he will be on Vesuvio. Walter found out he was drafted by a Democrat, so he said he is not playing, Glenn gets dumped on Bonte.

Bonte and Vesuvio clashes in season opener, Glenn scores against Vesuvio for the winner.

Dave quits because Alston was a better collegiate and Bella Vista player than him. Oh did Dave go to college? Rumor has it he has a degree in Logistics?!?!!!

Stay tuned for the latest breaking news !!!!!

Um….so….insider, was the penalty that Ricky did not call a two-pointer? I’m not great at math but it seems that the final score was 4-2, and the penalty, if successful, would have made it 4-3.

And as for the suspect goal called in Race v. BVB, maybe call up the City rec department and question the line painter. I think there is actually a loop in the one goal line at Sacks, and the 18 is at the 12 and 1/2.

two-pointer. very funny. actually the non-penalty changes the whole complexion of the game. bvb scores there, becomes more defensive, etc. etc. And most likely win or tie the game. duh.

oye, the truth has a point, but hey..as they say in my native Mexico…Asi es e futbol, Guayyyyyy.

I still think Riquii is a dog. a puro perro. Ese man should go back to that tiny Hugo Chavez loving island of his for good…

Joaquin, thanks for clearing that up. However, I wish they would say it to me. I am not perfect and I try my best to make the right calls. I don’t benefit from favoring one team or another. I don’t give a rat a.. who win or lose.

Hey Paco, Chavez is a good man and many people love dogs.

Actually Kranjec scored two goals and had one assist on Reggie’s header. Kranjec second goal was pretty great. Throw-in, to chest, pivot and in the upper right corner of the goal, at least this is what I remember. It was an amazing goal to say the least.

Sorry about the controversial foul people. I dig your attitude Q, very sportsman-like, wouldn’t expect less.

Ezra: thanks for the clarification on the goals. We are trying to track goals this season to tabulate a “Golden Boot” when the games end.

I am still looking for info on the single Goal from El Fuego at their season opener win against BV. Anyone know?
