Vesuvio advance over 7 man Fergies
By Lil Kev…
In a real nail biter, Vesuvio got past Fergies last night at Sacks Field. The game was real close - for the first minute. And then Vesuvio took control. Playing 3 men down, Fergies seemed to have no shot and that proved to be true when Dave Petit scored twice within the first 5 minutes. Fergies however would not go quietly. And managed a chance or two in the first half. However, by the time the half whistle came, Vesuvio had a 6-nil lead, or maybe it was 7 or 8. Greg P. scored a few, Brian i think added one…alot of the Calamaris got in on the action.
At half it was agreed that Vesuvio would get the win and advance, and we played a 20 minute pickup, so the night wasn’t a complete loss.
Last night also marked the return of Big Ben who returned from injury. Nice to see you out there. He also almost got his name in the book with a long range shot that just missed. He may have been looking at the second crossbar.
Good luck to Vesuvio and all the remaining teams.
Until next season…

Is there anyone from the teams that are not in the semifinals that would be willing to ref and/or run the lines for the semifinals? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Ben
I will be driving in from out of town just for our game. I will try and get there as early as I can but more than likely I will be unavailable.
Likewise, can some folk from the first semi stick around to ref and run the lines for our game, please?
