Sunday: Race & Fergies draw, Bonte wins
Race St. v. Fergies: 1-1
This was a very good game with end to end action. The first goal came from a penalty by Race St, while the equalizer came from Tri’s superb volley from a cross. The game was a nailbiter, with one goal disallowed because it was offside. All in all, solid performance by both teams. The game ended 1-1, and well reffed by Max.
Bonte v. Rooster: 6-0
Bonte extended their winning streak with a 6-0 win over the Roosters. The first 3 goals came in 15 minutes, beginning with Chris Bull’s shot. Bula headed in one from Keith’s strong run down the left wing, and Big Kev added a 3rd from a well controlled cross from Ricky, which Kev buried with the left foot. I believe Decer scored the fourth. In the second half, Chris Bull headed one in from a long cross. I think Ricky scored the last, but cannot be sure. Chris Haines, Keith, Lace, Jared, Dominic and Heri were a fort in the back letting almost nothing through. To cap this off, Fabio had the save of the century with an spectacular one handed reflex dive to fend of a might shot at goal, easily the highlight of the day by GolTV or FSC standards. “Our team is in Sync. Leah, Ben and Chris play great wings to spread the game out wide, while our back and midfield move the ball around with simple and effective passing. Such unselfishness in passing and our continuous movement to get open and ready, is great to see. Let’s not pat ourselves just yet as we will be tested this Saturday.” - Bula. Bonte plays Vesuvio this Saturday at Sacks.
El Fuego v. Patriots
The Burritos and Pats played a friendly as the former were not able to field a full team, and elected to forfeit.

el fuego enjoyed a good game with addequate number of players. while we didn’t want to forfeit it was the best solution and oddly a boost for team spirit. thanks to chris reg. for helping us out. by the second half we had ten players… at this point we just want to play games with enough players and put fourth a good effort. certainly other teams have been injury-bitten. hopefully next season we will apply some of the lessons we learned as a league this season. here’s to a good remainder of the season.
Big props to Tri on his volley, that was super sweet.
Yeah, Tri absolutely smashed that. Had I even been able to get in front of that, it would have torn my hands clean off.
That volley was bbbbaaaaallllllliiiiiiinnnnnnnn, I almost swallowed my whistle
